At Shelby Martial Arts Academy we provide Martial Arts instruction for students from ages 3 to 93+. Whether you want to learn self-defense or to be fit, all while having fun, Shelby Martial Arts Academy has a solution! While most martial art schools give you focus and self esteem, we go beyond because we train in whole body movement. Every student who attends our school greatly improves academically and socially. We do this by incorporating proven body movements to integrate our mind and our body to work as a single full functioning person. These movements come from CKD, Aikido, Brain Gym and Bal-A-Vis-X. The result is an exciting martial art form that changes not only the student but the entire family. Learning becomes easier, grades go up, home work goes from three hours to a half hour, hand/eye coordination improves as does core activation. Kids can now run without tripping so the bullying is gone. And we are not just for kids, this art will help everyone become stronger and more productive and make better decisions.
