Herberger Construction is family-owned and operated. Dave, a graduate from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering & a minor in Construction Management, has over 25 years of building experience. He offers unique designs and building options for custom homes, remodeling, and room additions, along with general contracting services for Residential & Commercial projects. Cheryl, The President of our company, has over 20 years of management, customer service, marketing/presentation, and Real Estate Experience. She is in charge of the major purchasing for the homes and also the interior design & decorating. Cheryl is also the Past President of The Home Builders Association of Kankakee and a current board member. She is the 2nd Vice President to Harbor House, a Board Member for KC-CASA, a Zontian member, an Ambassador to the Kankakee Regional Chamber of Commerce, Member of Christmas Day Inc. and Christmas Golf in September, a BBCHS Booster Club Member and a member of the United Way Campaign Fund Drive. Cheryl was nominated as Zonta's 2009 Outstanding Volunteer of Kankakee County. Dave & Cheryl met while attending Bradley-Bourbonnais High School; they have now been together for 30 years and are dedicated to their family, business, and to giving back to their home community through local charity work and contributions. Herberger Construction is an Award Winning 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 & 2009 Parade of Home Builder. They received the runner up award for People's choice in 2004 and were the Overall People's Choice Award winner for 2006, 2008 & 2009. They are members of: the Bradley-Bourbonnais Regional Chamber of Commerce, The Kankakee Regional & The Kankakee Chamber of Commerce, Christmas Golf in September & Christmas Day Inc, Harbor House, The Home Builders Association of Kankakee, the Home Builders Association of Illinois, the National Association of Home Builders, and an Energy Star Partner. The Home Builders Association of Kankakee presented Herberger Construction with the prestigious Builder Member of the Year award for 2007. They received the the award again in 2009.
