Tropical Shade Imports, established in 1986, quickly became the center for tropical decor and palapa kits and installations. We specialize in installations in the greater San Diego, Las Vegas, and Palm Desert areas and have been the southwestern centers for thatching materials and palapas for nearly 30 years now. We are the first commercial builders of palapas in the industry in the United States, and have been in business continuously since 1986, which is a nod to our quality and reliability. We’ve pioneered many of the innovations to create not only a beautiful product, but a durable and reliable product. Our Master Wood Craftsmen have been with the company for over 18 years. With their help, we have been able to specialize in hand-carved faux-bamboo wooden poles for our custom jobs, a skill and product that no other company has been able to replicate.
