If you love being deep in the mountains, the cabins at Holly River are the best! Built by the CCC back in the 1930's out of logs and natural stone, they are quaint, very clean & so comfortable. Bring food- the cabins are equipped with fully stocked kitchens and the restuarant is only open seasonally. Assistant superintendant, Heath Miles, is personable & knowledgeable-his tips really added to our stay. I loved falling asleep listening to the river & waking up to deer grazing out front. Magical stay. Truly the best West Virginia has to offer!
