License Advocates Law Group is a highly specialized law firm with a unique mission: We represent professional and occupational licensees and license applicants in the 800+ careers for which California requires a license, credential or certificate. We appeal license denials and defend licensees in disciplinary proceedings against the license (revocation, suspension, conditions or limitations) in administrative hearings throughout the state of California. We are the only Southern California-based law firm with a practice devoted exclusively to the needs of licensees and license applicants.  We have special expertise in the licenses of Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses, contractors and building trades, real estate and insurance professionals, dentists, K-12 credentialed teachers, peace officers and firefighters.  Our partners are three 30-year attorneys, each with extensive experience in criminal prosecution and investigations, civil litigation, personnel law and employee misconduct.  Partner Mike Claessens is a 34-year California licensed building contractor. He brings a unique and meaningful perspective to the real-world concerns of our clients. Partner Christine McCall is a former California Administrative Law Judge who has presided at many hearings pertaining to license applications and license discipline, issuing rulings of law and findings of fact. We are the only Southern California licensing law firm with a former ALJ in our ranks. Our mission includes pricing our services creatively and realistically for our clients who, on account of licensing disputes with the State, are financially stressed and concerned about affording the costs of exercising their rights to defend and protect their license.
