WHO WE ARE: Handyman Matters is a locally owned franchise. We handle most repair or maintenance projects in your home or business either inside or outside. All our uniformed craftsmen work directly for the company, have been thoroughly background checked and are only hired if they can show extensive experience in multiple craftsmen skills as well as the ability to clearly communicate with our customers. We are EPA certified to do Lead Paint Renovations. Unique Qualities: Many of the projects we are asked to handle are very simple for our skilled craftsman and an “estimate” can be handled during your call to the office. When you call us, our Customer Service Representative will ask you a few questions about your project, then, using a database model with over 11 years of project history and thousands of similar jobs, we will give you an estimate of the time to compete your project. Many customers have a number of projects, some simple and some a little more involved. If you are deciding whether a professional handyman company is for you, we recommend you hire us for an hour so we can handle the simple projects. This will give you an opportunity to see what we can do for you. While we are there we can prepare an estimate and a material list for your larger project which cannot be estimated over the phone. You can then schedule the balance of the jobs based on your budget. You can purchase the materials at your convenience or you can pay us to shop for you. We schedule appointments usually within 3 business days. We will give you a specific start time, not a range of hours. We have a one-time trip charge, of $30, a one hour labor minimum, and our hourly rate is $78. We accept all major credit cards as well as checks and cash. We would like you to know: We have built our customer base on trust, quality craftsmanship and a strong business ethic. Repeat customers are the key to our success and we receive 9 or 10 ratings from virtually every home owner we help. We also have an A rating on the major national Internet referral site. We can do almost any project but will tell you up front if something is not in our skill set. If we cannot handle the job, we will recommend another competent company.
