Christine Wilton is sole practitioner of her law firm established in April, 2009. Since establishing her law firm, Christine has become a thought leader and blog author of her blog at www.losangelesbankruptcylawmonitor.com where she writes about consumer bankruptcy law as it relates to the Central District of California. Her blog has been read by colleagues nationally and even in Canada. Christine has filed hundreds of bankruptcy cases and litigates against predatory lenders in a chapter 13 case. Since 2008, Ms. Wilton has attended more than 100 hours of continuing legal education, primarily in the areas of consumer bankruptcy and foreclosure and plans to become a certified legal specialist within 4 years. Christine has been a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association; National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the Central District Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Association. She also serves as the President of the Pacific Coast University School of Law Alumni Association; and is a volunteer attorney for Public Counsel. She received her Juris Doctor from Pacific Coast University School of Law (2005), her undergraduate degree from California State University, Long Beach (B.A. 1989), where she studied Speech Communication, and an associate degree in Liberal Studies from Long Beach City College, Long Beach, CA (A.A. 1987). She is admitted to practice law in California and before the United States District Court, Central District. Christine also holds a certificate in General Insurance from the American Institute of Property Casualty Underwriters (1998). Christine’s background includes training with Dale Carnegie; Landmark Education; and The Hoffman Institute. She has held sales jobs in several industries; and has more than 14 years experience within the insurance industry, including 8 years in government service at the Department of Insurance.
