Home Care and Companions is dedicated to offering our clients mutual relationships of longevity and respect. Home Care & Companions was founded by Ken and Robbie Kuehner in 1988 as a referral, scheduling and payroll service for those who desired to remain in their home while recuperating or for long term care. The area served in Central Nebraska includes Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings and the surrounding communities. Established 1988 Our mission is to provide services that promote and maintain choices,control and dignity for our clients in their home. Our service was established as a non-medical referral, scheduling and payroll service, not a Medical Agency. The Caregiver(s) referred to you by us are not our employees; they are your "Household Employee". This manner of doing business offers you a more cost-effective option; also, you have more control in your home. As the employer, you will not have a different Caregiver each day. You have direction and control as to who provides your care as well as what, when and how services are to be preformed. See "Benefits to you." Services Home Care & Companion's services are designed to assist our clients in all aspects of hiring household employees who provide them homemaker/housekeeping services and personal assistance. As your employee, your Caregiver can help you with any task that you would normally do or a family member could do for you if they were available. When you contact Home Care & Companions, a Staff Coordinator will meet with you at your home, hospital or nursing home to discuss your personal needs and expectations. "You can count on our entire staff to work diligently to see you receive the care and consideration you request and deserve." Home Care & Companions offer five scheduling options to meet your current needs and also to adapt to your changing situation. All fees are based on 30 consecutive days. You may start, discontinue, change or resume services at any time. When you discontinue services your fee will be prorated or adjusted to the actual hours used on the Scheduling Option scale and a refund will be made accordingly. All fees are inclusive and cover all costs to you. Services You can count on Home Care & Companions to: Maintain a list of available Caregivers for your area, schedule and provide on-going recruitment, interviewing, and reference checks of prospective Caregivers accompany prospective caregivers when meeting with you, preparation of caregiver schedules and ongoing visits to ensure the best possible care. Be available 24 hours, 7 days a week for any emergency, questions or concerns you may have. Assisting you with emergency and replacement Caregivers. Prepare all bi-monthly payroll, required state and federal quarterly and year-end wage reports forms. You have the choice of the length of time you need help in your home, the days and hours your Caregiver comes and when to end services. You avoid the hassle and time involved in running ads, answering calls, interviewing, and screening numerous applicants. The choice of Caregiver(s) is at your sole discretion. You have the peace of mind, knowing if you have a concern or question, you can talk to someone at anytime 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You have the confidence of knowing that you are not alone in scheduling your workers.
