Dr. Shwayder participated in the country's first protocol laboratories in the research, development and implementation of ultrasound in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Post-residency, Dr. Shwayder gained further training and credentialing in advanced ultrasound and surgical procedures. Early in his career, Dr. Shwayder introduced multiple OB/GYN practices and procedures to Hampton Roads and Mary Immaculate Hospital. Dr. Shwayder has completed over 50,000 OB/GYN ultrasound studies, gained over 27,000 hours of experience in ultrasound and has accumulated over 25,000 hours in minimally invasive surgical procedures.
