School of Rock is the leader in performance-based music education. We teach guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals by putting on amazing shows at real rock venues. Our students play music to learn music because we know that having a concrete goal to reach for, like a real concert in a legit rock venue, is a very effective motivator for our students to practice, learn and grow. Our programs, camps and workshops for toddlers, kids, teens, and adults make learning to play music fun and create a great community of musicians. On January 8th, School of Rock Ballwin will perform Iron Maiden vs. Judas Priest show that the kids have been working on all summer! The show is at The Firebird at 6pm. Following this show will be our final end of season show at The Old Rock House January 10th from 12pm-7:30pm. This show will feature performances by Blues, Van Halen, Lollapalooza, Radiohead and Queen. Our curriculum pairs weekly private music lessons with weekly rehearsals, and we put our kids in the best venues in the St Louis area including the Pageant, the Gramophone, Off Broadway, the Chesterfield Amphitheater, Kirkwood Station Brewing and the Firebird. Students enrolled in School of Rock also have the opportunity to try out to join our House Band (which plays regular gigs through the spring and summer) attend open jam sessions and workshops, perform in our student showcases in the school, and even go on tour!!
