Alexis de Tocqueville once wrote that the true measure of a society is how it treats its children and its elders. How does our society measure up? According to a recent federal study, not very well. The study found that elder abuse is widely prevalent and even increasing in California's nursing homes, hospitals, and assisted living facilities, especially as our population continues to grow older. As a California elder abuse lawyer, I am dedicated to stopping this abuse by holding hospitals, nursing homes, and caregivers accountable for their acts of cruelty and neglect. Twelve years ago, a friend came to me with suspicions that his grandmother had suffered abuse and neglect while in the care of a nursing home. I investigated the case and was sickened by what I discovered. Since that time, I have dedicated my practice 100% to helping individuals and families throughout Southern California with cases involving elder abuse & neglect.
