With three generations of rug experience, Seya was born in Tehran, Iran and opened stores in Germany, Los Angeles (CA), Phoenix (AZ), and now Anchorage. His wife Chereyl also comes from a family with four generations of rug culture. Her family's business started with her great grandfather in Chicago (IL) coming from Zahale, Lebanon.
