I purchased a leather sofa with a lifetime guarantee on the frame. It broke after only 2 years. I was charged $75 for a guy to come out and put about 10 staples in it. I was told the manufacturer had gone out of business and there was nothing they could do about it. This was a $2000 couch. Of course it didn't hold and my son rebuilt the frame. So much for the warranty. Then in March of this year I bought my son and my daughter each a new bed, both brand names. Within 1 week my son's bed had a 6 inch lump of padding just wad up in the middle of the bed!
