The Nevada National Guard is a reserve military force composed of Nevada citizens who serve one weekend a month and two weeks during the summer mostly in their local areas. The National Guard is the oldest component of the Armed Forces of the United States. It was founded with the general court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony on 13 December 1636.
