During my viewing of the apartment before signing the lease, Chuck, the owner of the apartments, complained that people don't tell him when things are broken and try to fix things themselves. I accepted that excuse for the broken light fixtures, broken doors, and so on. The fixtures and the appliances were very old, but I could live with that. For the price, I was impressed with the size of the apartment. Of course, very few things got fixed.
