Country living is a 24-hour residential assisted living home for senior citizerns that was opened in 1998. The home may accommodate up to 12 residents, male or female and over the age of 65. Secondary handicaps such as insulin dependent, legally blind, physically frailbut mentally able, post CVA (stroke), and beginning stages of dementia, etc. will be accepted and monitored frequently to ensure safety to all occupants. Country Living is an attractive 7,000 square-foot home, architectually designed to promote safety and independence. The property is located in a beautiful and quiet country setting approximately 2 miles form I-96 and the Portland city limits. The home includes 13 spacious bedrooms, 9 safety first bathrooms, and large hallways leading to the centrally located common areas. There is a centrally located great room with a 50-inch HDTV and fireplace; a formal dining room with hardwood floors; a private sitting room available for family gatherings; and a walkthrough kitchen with an expanded deck overlooking the Grand River. Country Living is owned and operated by Michael and Kelly Grys of Portland, MI. Kelly is a registered nurse in the state of Michigan with over 18 years of experience in supervision and acute care setting including geriatric care.
