St. James is not a community you are likely to forget. Built in 1943, the buildings are invested with style and craftsmanship. The apartments at St. James are quaint; two story buildings, featuring hardwood floors and colonial moldings. The Peninsula Community Award Winning grounds are just beautiful. St. James also has a pool overlooking the James River, a private beach, and courtyard simply overflowing with flowers. There is a large Laundry facility with large dryers and a small lending library inside the building, also outside lines for air drying. St. James is serviced by a professional, 24 hour, on call maintenance staff. Pets are welcome with 25lbs weight limit ($200 pet deposit with $100 refundable).
