My wife and I got one of the crappy Sienna vans with the faulty motors that had gumming problems. The muffler belched smoke for about 6 months. It blew, they replaced the short block under warranty. It blew again, and they refused to cover it with the warranty, even though Toyota knew that there was a problem with the engine. We left the van there for about 2 months, hoping they would reconsider, but they didn't. We had to sell the car for junk (even Toyota wouldn't buy it from us) for $1000.
