My business was contacted by Mr. Smith. He asked me to purchase 9 certified copies of death from the D.C. Health Department(my cost $162.00) . He insisted that I send them right away and after several frantic phone calls from him, I sent him the copies (priority mail). All at my expense. Since he was a fellow director, I belived him when he said that he would send my money right back. Well.he never did. Not even a Thank you. I sent him several polite reminders and then finally I called.. I was told that he did not intend to pay and to date, he hasn' t.
