North Hollywood based Blue Cross Pet Hospital was founded in 1949. Since then our staff has been performing veterinary medicine and compassionate animal care in the North Hollywood area. Blue Cross Pet Hospital is a full-service Animal Hospital whose mission is to provide the highest standard of quality and compassion in veterinary care for our patients and welcoming, informative, and supportive service for our clients, while maintaining a superior working environment for our employees. Blue Cross Pet Hospital offers the North Hollywood animal community emergency veterinary services in addition to standard medical, surgical, and dental veterinary care. Because we have an in-house pharmacy, lab, radiology facilities, and Intensive Care Unit, our facility enables you to make one stop for your pet's medical care. We are open for appointments during normal business hours, evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays. We are always available in an emergency, just call or come in.

Dr. Peter Lowenthal was my vet but I would never go to him again. He recommends every test possible for your dog no matter what. He also prescribes every pill in the book and then charges an arm and a leg for them, when you can buy them online for 1/4 of the price. He has no bedside manner and the kicker is that I took my dog to him for many years and when she died he wouldn't take back a expensive case of dog food that I bought from him. After buying the most expensive kind of dog food from him for years, spending tens of thousands of dollars with him he said he would
