Got a jet-ski rental for Mother's Day (2011) and everything initially went fine. The craft was an older model, but was very well maintained and in good order. We filled the tank and cans up and headed to Canyon Lake. While unloading, we ran into an issue - the load/unload strap broke. No big deal, we made it to the lake OK and could tie it in a knot and "limp" back to the store when we were finished. After taking the jet-ski around the lake to the beach area (to dock), I took it for a quick spin to warm-up the engine and to get the feel for the craft.
