June Firkser is the Center Manager and treating Physical Therapist at NovaCare’s Merchantville clinic, located at 20 West Maple Avenue. As a member of the NovaCare team, June has distinguished herself as a compassionate, caring professional who is patient-focused. June is skilled in the treatment of a diverse patient population with orthopedic conditions and post-surgical interventions, including the treatment of cervical dysfunction and sports related injuries. Her hallmark is motivating patients to actively participate in their care and inspiring each individual to achieve a total healthy lifestyle. June is also a multisport endurance athlete and believes that along with physical therapy, injury prevention and nutrition are integral aspects in the rehabilitation of active individuals. A 2005 graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, June earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2008. In the pursuit of academic excellence, June has completed continuing education courses including Vestibular/Concussion Management, Neural Mobility, and Upper Quarter Manual Therapy. Her clinical affiliations include Underwood Memorial Hospital, Magee Outpatient Rehabilitation, and NovaCare Rehabilitation in Oaklyn. June is certified in the application of Functional Capacity Evaluations and also certified in The Graston Technique®, an advanced method of soft tissue mobilization to decrease pain and increase function.
