A mallard drake paddles up Rapid Creek into the January wild, dipping its beak into the water and shaking droplets from its glittering green head. It’s a part of a pastoral winter scene here in the Village at Founders Park, a quiet, upscale office park home to doctors, attorneys, artists, developers and financial advisors and the hidden Jewel Founders Park Village, a 124-unit upscale apartment complex. The buildings are harmonious with the natural landscape, not a common finding in many such developments. Four Craftsman-style office buildings anchor the park at the base of wooded M Hill, blending into its surroundings with a dark color scheme and stone and wood accents. Rapid Creek flows along the southern edge of the ark, the cottonwoods on its bank buffering the offices from the rush of the Omaha Street commercial strip. The nine-hole Executive Golf Course is to the east, and to the west, trailheads for the Hanson-Larsen Memorial Park hiking and biking system.
