Cason & Gaskins TV was founded in 1951 by J.B. Cason and Leroy Gaskins. Each had owned and operated a radio shop in Wildwood and they became partners when black and white television became popular. They sold and serviced Philco TV's and installed TV antennas when there was only one station available, broadcasting from Jacksonville. The original shop was located on Main Street long before Main Street was a four lane road. In 1967 Cason and Gaskins TV moved to its present location in the Wildwood Shopping Center. In the early 1960's, as color television became widely available, Cason & Gaskins TV sold and serviced Zenith TV's. In 1977, the year the first Tandy computers were introduced, Cason & Gaskins TV became a Radio Shack authorized dealer. In the mid 80's they began selling and installing ~C Band~ satellite systems (the huge 12 foot dishes).
