My name is Mirza Donegan and I’m the Director of the Griswold Home Care of Aspen Hill Wheaton here in Maryland. Prior to Griswold Home Care, I was the marketing director at the North Bethesda Transportation Center. I was first introduced to in-home care when a family member experienced signs of dementia and began to require home care. For the past 2 years, she has lived with a caregiver in her home. Through my loved one, I’ve seen the comfort that remaining in a friendly home environment can bring: having tea at home, reading the newspaper in the sunroom, and watching sports games. I believe that this first person experience gives me extra insight into similar situations that many adults with aging parents find themselves in across the country.
