Increasing Awareness and Treatment for Autism. Illinois Valley Autism Center is dedicated in helping children affected with autism reach their full potential in every area of development. To achieve this we provide these amazing children with instruction and activities in a manner consistent with the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. As most families affected by autism are aware, there is no known “cure” for autism and some may be aware that there is even a debate on whether autism should be cured or accepted. Autism affects individuals differently so whether your child has an abundance of difficulties or just a few we suggest you consider the benefits and support of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) which has been consistently validated by independent scientific research and recognized as the single most effective treatment for children with autism and the only treatment shown to lead to substantial, lasting improvements in the lives of individuals with autism! In particular, ABA principles and techniques can foster basic skills such as looking, listening and imitating, as well as complex skills such as reading, conversing and understanding another person's perspective.
