I graduated from the University of Miami Law School, cum laude (top 10% of my class), in 1989 and I've been a practicing trial lawyer for over 27 years. I started my career as an Assistant State Attorney working for Janet Reno in the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office where I prosecuted everything from DUIs to Traffic Homicide, Armed Robbery and Murder cases. I have had extensive experience in the DUI Traffic Homicide Division where we worked on many cases involving traffic crash analysis and accident reconstruction. I was also the first prosecutor in Dade County’s newly formed Drug Court. As an Assistant State Attorney and legal intern before that, I tried over 47 jury trials before I went into private practice in 1991. It was then that I realized that I wanted to create a firm that attracted clients who preferred to have one lawyer handling their case who is reachable, accountable and reliable.
