The staff of Premier Sports Medicine understands that a full and active lifestyle is important to your overall health and well-being. If you have an injury that is preventing you from engaging in an active lifestyle, the Premier Sports Medicine team can help facilitate your recovery. Premier Sports Medicine specializes in primary care sports medicine, including the management of non-surgical musculoskeletal injuries, sports-related concussion treatment, and other health-related issues which may inhibit participation in sports or other activities. The physicians are board certified in both Family Practice and Sports Medicine, which qualifies them to manage health issues of competitive athletes and physically active individuals of all ages. The practice is positioned to partner with your primary care physician to manage medical conditions and injuries resulting from athletic competition or participation in recreational activities. The physicians also treat patients’ health problems which may prevent them from athletic participation or engagement in an active lifestyle. Sean R. Convery, MD and H. Dusty Rhodes, DO lead the team at Premier Sports Medicine. Dr. Convery has served as the Head Team Physician for the University of Dayton since 2000 and also as Medical Director of Sports Medicine for Miami Valley Hospital. Dr. Rhodes has served as a staff physician and Coordinator of Education and Research for the Miami Valley Hospital Sports Medicine Center. He is also a team physician for both the University of Dayton and Springboro High School. Premier Sports Medicine also has an athletic trainer who assists Dr. Convery and Dr. Rhodes with patient care. Kim McManus, ATC, AT is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and is licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the state of Ohio. Premier Sports Medicine is part of Premier Health Specialists and is currently accepting new physician-referred and self-referred patients of all ages.
