Singers, of all ages trained this way, find that they are able to sing almost any style of music. Our founder and lead coach has more than Fifty Six years of experience teaching singers of all ages, many of whom have gone on to professional or amateur careers in theater, church, live performance and recording. Garray Music Studios was established in 1994 by Jack Gorrecht, who had been training singers for 43 years. His intent is to provide quality instruction to anyone who has the sincere desire to succeed as a singer. At Garray Music Studios, the belief is that we are all designed to sing. The basic quality of each individual voice depends upon many factors and some are just naturally better than others. What is most important for the vocal student is the understanding and development of the functions that create the best quality for each individual voice. The job of the Vocal Coach is to direct and assist the singer in learning how to eliminate those actions and attitudes that stand in the way of beautiful and natural singing. The current facility has six studios. Three vocal, one piano, one guitar and one recording studio. We are prepared to work with singers from beginners to accomplished professionals, including those in fields from classical to country and pop styles of music. Many of our students have successful careers in recording, musical theater and other areas of vocal music. However, some people just want to learn how to sing better in church or to sing karaoke. Whatever the reason, everyone who wants it deserves the opportunity to have quality instruction. Vocal training is open to students of all ages. Our coaches have the experience of working with students from age 7 to 70. The teachers of Piano and Guitar are some of the finest available.
