We have string instruments and all supplies for Arlington orchestra students. Affordable Beginner Strings was originally started in 1995 by Wayne Caraway, who continued to run the business out of his home for several years. In 1998, Wayne opened up a store front that is still the home of the business today. Soon after opening this permanent address, Wayne partnered with Lee Nolan, who is still a partner today. Unfortunately, Wayne Caraway passed away in July 2011 but is still remembered by everyone who got to enjoy his smile and sense of humor. His widow, Aleta Caraway, a retired Arlington orchestra teacher, became a partner at his death. In August of 2013 she completed the full purchase of the company, enabling her partner Lee to retire to the country as he wished. Currently, Kara is the Manager at Affordable Beginner Strings and Becky is Assistant Manager. We also enjoy the help of Courtnie, Jason, our extraordinary repair tech, Lewis, Henry, Erika, and Caleb. Affordable Beginner Strings offers all of the following: Rentals (Violins, Violas, & Cellos) As well as higher quality instruments for purchase! We also have a wide selection of accessories, such as music books, strings, metronomes/tuners, and rosins.

The family settled in Farmersville, Texas, where each of the boys, Hubert, Joe, Bill, and George grew up and continued to expand the family business.
