Integrity in practice is essential to my practice. Whether in the Municipal Court, Superior Court, or Federal Court, ethical and professional representation of each client is the primary concern. Forthrightness: In any profession, being upfront and direct with a client, or potential client, provides a proper foundation for present or future representation. Often, a potential client seeks legal representation only if the lawyer can guarantee results. From an ethical point of view this is improper, since past results can never guarantee the outcome of any present representation. Rather, it is imperative that both the lawyer and the client interact to the extent that the client is well advised of each element of the law pertaining to the representation, be it either as a plaintiff or defendant/victim. As a result of my four-year term as an attorney on the Bergen County Attorney District II Ethics Committee, I have become more sensitized to the ethical and professional responsibilities that are occasioned in any legal representation as well as in giving counsel and advice. I was fortunate enough to receive the Meritorious Public Service Award provided by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, District Ethics Committee. The experiences on this panel have helped me in understanding the parameters of all ethical and professional responsibilities in representation. MUNICIPAL/TOWN COURT For over 20 years, I have been representing individuals both as victims and defendants in practically every county in the State of New Jersey, as well as New York City, and the surrounding New York State Courts. The representation has been diverse, as many of the following legal issues and offenses are presented at this court level: DWI/DUI, Assault and Battery, Traffic Violations, Obstruction of Justice, Resisting Arrest, Unlicensed and Revoked Drivers, Driving while Suspended, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failure to Report Drug Possession and Drug Related Offenses, Biking Offenses, Building Code Violations as well as Violations of Various Municipal/Town Ordinances, Violations of Diversionary Program Terms, Bullying, Social Media Related Offenses, Harassment, and Representation of Victims in Domestic Violence Actions. Although I practice throughout the state of New Jersey at the municipal court level, geographic location and familiarity both with the court personnel and the judge hearing the matter become essential elements to proper representation. For more than 20 years I have frequented most of the Bergen County municipalities, including Oradell, Paramus, Ridgewood, Alpine, Palisades Park, Edgewater, Englewood Cliffs, Emerson, Westwood, Woodcliff Lake, Park Ridge, Old Tappan, Harrington Park, Hallworth, Hackensack, Closter, Cresskill, Tenafly, Englewood, Saddle Brook, Saddle River, Upper Saddle River, Leonia, Fort Lee, Montvale, Maywood, Franklin Lakes, Wyckoff, Waldwick, Ramsey, Mahwah, Garfield, Rochelle Park, Lodi, Teaneck, Fairview, Hasbrouck Heights, Woodridge, Carlstadt, Rutherford, East Rutherford, Lyndhurst, North Arlington, and the Bergen County Municipal Courts.
