The 20 hour course is for persons with at least 1040 hours or more of on-the-job experience or volunteer work and have performed a minimum of 50 venipunctures and 10 skin punctures on patients of all ages and weight categories over the past 5 years or have been working as a phlebotomist. This person will receive the title of Phlebotomy Technician I upon successful completion of the course, national exam and applying to the State for certification.
