Mr. Gibbs has been a consultant and a problem solver all of his life. For the past fifteen years Mr. Gibbs has worked as a forensic engineer. Mr. Gibbs is unique in that he sees things other people do not see when they look at the same thing. He has a detective’s mind and quickly gets to the source of a problem and then designs a solution or a range of solutions to that problem. Mr. Gibbs can provide extremely fast turnaround for reports because he maintains control of all parts of the report process. He has two different Computer Assisted Drafting (CAD) subcontractors that provide overnight CAD service. He knows which geotechnical firms can provide fast turnaround and low cost on soil sample testing if that should be needed. A typical report is delivered to the person who ordered it in about three working days and sometimes less. Over the years Mr. Gibbs’ report writing has evolved to a very high level of quality. It is difficult to write any report for more than one audience, but Mr. Gibbs reports are written to be useable and understandable to three audiences: the homeowner who may have no technical training, the insurance company adjustor who may have had some technical training and a little or a lot of experience reading and working with technical reports and, lastly, another engineer hired by the homeowner or a foundation company to dispute Mr. Gibbs’ report.
