A complete residential design service from remodels and additions to new customs homes. Born and raised in Southern California, I moved to Huntington Beach California in 1971 and started my residential design business here in 1977, which has been my full time career ever since. Married in 1989, my wife and I have raised two beautiful daughters who are now 18 and 21 years old. Whether my clients require a small remodel, a first or second story addition or a new house from the ground up I can take them through the design process (see my Design Process page). My goals are the same for every project that I am involved with. I always strive for complete client satisfaction by exceeding their architectural requirements, keeping the project within their budget and within their time frame. This website is the only form of advertising I have ever attempted, since 1977 all of my business has come from referrals. I believe that if I provide a great experience for my clients they will recommend me to their neighbors and friends, and they have many times over (see my Testimonial Page for some recent testimonials). I also provide a very accurate and detailed final set of construction drawings for each of my projects. The importance of this cannot be understated. A set of final construction drawings that are incomplete, confusing to read, missing correct details or are overly engineered will drive the budget up and cause construction delays. This is why about half of my referrals come from contractors who have previously worked off my plans. Before I started by architectural business I worked in construction and I am continuously communicating with contractors on the most cost effective methods of construction.
