We are in the business of handcrafting planters from natural volcanic stone. These rocks come from the volcanic activity that formed the Sierra Nevada Mountain range millions of years ago. Each stone is individually selected for its size weight and quality. They are then taken to our work shop where they are closely examined to decide where to cut and place holes the will enhance both beauty and practicality. After they are caved and polished, drain holes are drilled. Solar lights can be added if desired. Some of these are planted but many are left empty to allow the customer to plant what and when they want. Many people are on vacation and want to wait until they get home. We have a store in historic down town Sonora where all different sizes, colors and styles can be seen. There are different textures and weights also. We have a selection of outdoor plants as well as some houseplants and succulents. There no two alike so their individuality makes them ideal for gifts and the plants really thrive in them. Since they weigh much less than any other rock (natural or manufactured) they can be moved when landscaping or taken along if you relocate. Come in see for yourself.
