Alabama Surgical Associates (ASA) in Huntsville provides Bariatric and General Surgery services to the communities of North Alabama, Southern Tennessee and beyond. Our American Board of Surgery certified surgeons specialize in robotic and advanced laparoscopic surgical procedures. Since 1998, ASA has created partnerships establishing lifelong, lifestyle changes through surgical excellence. Over 3,000 laparoscopic bariatric (weight loss) surgeries have been performed. Over 98% of patients are managed with either same day discharge or an overnight stay in the hospital following surgery (23 hour observation). Most people are able to return to work within 1 to 2 weeks following surgery.
