New Location open on the West Side of Madison - 5906 Odana Road. The Used and New Building Materials Store. The Habitat ReStore in Madison, WI supports Habitat for Humanity of Dane County by selling new and used donated building materials to the public at discount prices. About the Habitat ReStore Working in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Dane County, the Habitat ReStore sells donated building materials to the general public for up to 75% off retail price. Sales from the Habitat ReStore provide enough income to build two Habitat for Humanity homes in Dane County a year. The Habitat ReStore is located on Madison's Eastside at 208 Cottage Grove Road. Our goals are to: * Support Habitat for Humanity of Dane County's home building program * Keep valuable materials out of local area landfills * Provide the community with a source of low cost building materials * Provide an opportunity to volunteer at the Habitat ReStore How the ReStore Works: The Habitat ReStore accepts donations of new and saleable, used building materials such as cabinets, lighting and plumbing fixtures, doors, lumber, flooring, and windows. Most of these donations will be sold to the public at up to 75% off the retail price. There are more than 500 Habitat ReStores in the U.S and Canada. The Habitat ReStore: * Makes home improvements more affordable. * Helps Habitat build more homes. In an average year, the Habitat ReStore will allow Habitat to build two additional homes in Dane County. * Prevents usable building materials from going to a landfill. The Habitat ReStore keeps close to 1,000 tons of building materials out of Dane County's landfills annually. How you can help: The Habitat ReStore is an ambitious project, and we need the help of a lot of people in many different ways to make it successful. You can help by volunteering, donating good used building materials, or simply by shopping at the Habitat ReStore. All donations to the Habitat ReStore are tax deductible.
