This was a popular place to eat before Gringos, Mama Mia's, Papasito's Mexican Restaurant, and another half dozen or so competitors opened up for business with a fresh new look at what has become a Texas mainstay. TexMex cuisine. I was really curious and shocked when I went to live up in the North West for three years. What I took for granted as a nice family retaurant thirty years ago when I was a lad, took me by surprise that I couldn't find my comfort food restaurant. Casa Ole was the in place to eat a hearty TexMex meal. But Casa Ole or its cousin up in the northwestern
