JFK said, "Washington D.C. is a city of northern charm and southern efficiency." and this so speaks to the predicament of Public Transit. They are too big to be humane, considerate, and customer-service oriented; but not large enough to be professional and courteous. My deepest sympathy to anyone dependent on them for transportation. My experiences have been both horrific and inexplicably unbusinesslike. Their default response is a negative one; this kind of attitude can only come from the top down. My health suffered to the detriment on each of six occas
