About
Salsa Rueda Santa Cruz has brought Salsa Dance, Casino Rueda Style, to the community since 2001. This dynamic Cuban social dance is danced in a circle, with frequent partner changes, a caller who announces each choreographed move, and lots of energy. In 2004, they received the Calabash Award for Excellence in Ethnic Arts. As of mid 2009, they directed 90 performances organized with students of their dance classes. Led by Chris&Jessica, they have fun dance classes every week, at the Louden Nelson Center in downtown Santa Cruz, are just $7 per person, $5 for students. Available also for private and commercial parties and events!
