I visited Phillipsburg Check Cashing located at 437 Main St on 10/27/12 at around 3:00pm to cash a payroll check in the amount the $1,500 range. In front of both clerks, I tore the check from the remittance portion, signed, showed proper identification, NJ drivers license and original social security card and still I was turned away because I was over forty miles away from my home. The clerks said it was store policy that they couldn't cash checks for people living so far away and when I ask to see the policy they said it wasn't in writing. I asked them
