Alternative Automotive was established in 1995 by Steven Rabideau. Steven is a third generation auto mechanic. Factory trained in all aspects of service on Lexus and Toyota, from minor service to engine and transmission rebuilding, along with computer diagnostics. He felt there was a better way to address the needs of Lexus and Toyota owners. Having the background and professionalism learned while serving in U.S.M.C. he applied the diligence and leadership skills acquired and drawing on experiences from watching his grandfather run his Saab specialist shop he knew how to serve the needs of people in a friendly and professional manner. With an ongoing support and training from Toyota/Lexus corp. we keep our staff up to date with all current models, including hybrid's. Alternative Automotive is North San Diego County's first and only, true Lexus and Toyota independent service for over a decade. It's located in Escondido close to San Marcos, California. We offer genuine parts and provide free rental for most major services. Our lounge is spacious and comfortable and our staff is courteous and professional.
