Suffolk Beauty Academy is proud of its educational record and cosmetology curriculum. Our accredited faculty and staff are dedicated to giving our students the skills to excel in this industry and the knowledge to enhance employment opportunities. The school is located 2 miles from Downtown Suffolk. There is ample parking for students. The school has approximately 5000 square feet, which includes a clinic area, a dispensary, two rest rooms, three classrooms, a library and two offices for student and staff use. We also have a break room for students. Suffolk Beauty Academy seeks motivated students with a desire to achieve a high level of success in the cosmetology industry. The course consists of a 1500-hour Cosmetology program. Course outlines and daily lesson plans ensure that all subjects are taught in correct sequence with a proper balance devoted to theory and practical instruction. Courses are designed to help students develop work habits, attitudes, safety practices and awareness of their professional responsibilities. Any applicant seeking entrance to Suffolk Beauty Academy must comply with the following admission requirements: Have a high school diploma, high school transcripts or GED. Proof of date of birth. Credit for previous cosmetology education will be considered only with an official transcript and a transfer student evaluation with one of Suffolk Beauty Academy’s instructors. Transfer credit will be accepted based on evaluation and transcript. A copy of the student’s social security card. Classes start every six weeks. Full time 9:00am to 5:00pm Part time 9:00am to 3:30pm
