About

Lydia home association began in 1916 as a ministry to orphans. Today our programs have expanded to meet the needs of a changing society, but our purpose remains strong to provide support and a safe place to children in need, and to make families stronger. Lydia offers Christ-centered service to children and families in Chicago. Our programs include: residential treatment for abused and neglected children foster care short-term crisis care child abuse prevention counseling centers alternative high school preschool graduate training program we are dedicated to creating healthy homes for children, and to providing comfort and healing to children who have been abused. We have expanded to other cities in Illinois and even overseas to France and Romania. Our vision is to see every child loved and cared for.
