If you are not a regular, do not expect to be treated well. Also helps if you are a man. So many restaurants employ staff that realize that many women have been servers and we tip well. Some are too busy jockeying for the next husband that they are rude and neglectful of a woman alone. It definitely makes a difference in my tip. 50% less.....every time.
