We just returned home after a one-night stay at the Belle Crest Inn in Shelter Island Heights. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but there was no way I would spend another night in that run down, worn out, so-called B&B - in spite of the fact that we had to pay for the two night minimum they required. The shades on the windows were yellowed & stiff with age; the towels were stained, mis-matched, undersized -- and also, stiff with age. The dresser had chipped & scratched vineer; the rest of the furniture mismatched and relatively unusea
