I originally made an appointment to bring my computer in for service. I described the problem to them and they let me know they would expect me. Before the appointment, one of their technicians called me and troubleshooted the problem over the phone. The problem was solved in a 15-minute phone call. Note that I had previously taken the machine to a large retail computer fix-it counter and they said it would be hundreds of dollars and several days to fix. Grateful to DMI for being proactive and honest.
