Since April of 2011, I have purchased 14 new tires for my personal vehicle, 8 tires for my little brother's vehicle, and 4 for a friend of mine's car. These tires were all sold as "new", but were explained that they were "visual defect" tires. The owner explained that this happens when a letter on a tire is not formed properly, etc. Well, I didn't pay any attention to it until I noticed each set of tires only lasted about 5k-7.5k miles before showing wires.
