William D. Summers, M.D. is a highly trained and board certified physician, specializing in gynecology, plus he recently opened a Weight Loss Clinic that is open to both women and men. The weight loss clinic is located at 52 Medical Park Drive East, Suite 207, Birmingham, AL 35235 (Go into the door that says Weight Clinic at the end of the hall in Building 52 at St. Vincent's East Hospital), although the two practices have separate entrances to ensure privacy for the women and to provide a comfortable environment for the men. To make a new patient appointment for the weight loss clinic please call our office at 205-838-3740 .      The weight clinic is open Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Your first weight clinic appointment will include medical history paperwork, determining your weight loss goal, nutritional counseling (we will determine your individual diet plan and menu to help you reach your personal goal), a written prescription to an appetite suppressant medication , such as Adipex , and B6-B12-Lipotropic Injections . Your initial visit includes the nutritional counseling and written prescription to an appetite suppressant medication. The B6-B12-Lipotropic injections are AMAZING and will boost your metabolism, give you extra energy, help lower cholesterol, benefit hair/skin/nails/, keep unwanted water weight off your body, help improve your mood and overall well-being, aid your body in ridding itself of unwanted fat, increase overall inches lost during your program, and MUCH more.  After you have been seen by us once you are able to stop by anytime during normal operating hours to purchase additional shots or to have a nurse administer your shot to you (no appointment necessary or extra fee for the shots).  Remember, you do have the option to do more than 1 shot per week.Be sure to talk to your nurse about this!  You will need to make an appointment every 30 days for your follow up appointment.  Please remember to make your 30 day follow up appointment before you leave your current weight clinic appointment each month.   We look forward to hearing from you!  Again, the weight clinic is open to both women and men and we look forward to hearing from you and to answer any questions you may have!
