I called Blue Ribbon Taxi of Columbia South Carolina to send a taxi to fetch me at the Palmetto Health Baptist hospital and take me to my apartment in Elgin. The taxi driver arrived a few minutes later. After driving for 12 minutes, the taxi driver suddenly informed me that he would accept "CASH ONLY", as he said that his credit card reader was not working.
